FAQ: Why is there a discrepancy between the meter display readout and the remote readback?

The ranging options for the meter display and for the remote commands are independent of each other in the N6705, so you need to make sure the ranges are set to the same value. The SCPI command for autoranging current measurements is SENS:CURR:RANG:AUTO ON,(@<channel number>). Please note that autoranging via remote commands does not include the 10-μA range, which must be selected individually.
